The DACC Health and Fitness programs are based on recommendations from the Surgeon General
of the United States. Physical activity at any age is beneficial to community members,
from youth to senior citizens. Such programs can include exercise and weight management,
body fat composition education, and exercise for muscular-skeletal conditions,
cancer prevention and the benefit of exercise for cardiovascular disease.
The DACC's programs are a platform for preventative health care in the community.
All members receive a FREE Fitness evaluation with a certified instructor. Each new member will
recieve two instructional appointments to learn the proper technique and usage of all strength
training and cardiovascular equipment. All strength training settings and weights will be recorded
on a personalized work out program card for you. These cards will be placed in the fitness room file cabinet for
your use every time you visit.
The DACC includes state of the art fitness and aerobic equipment,
as well as an aerobic studio that will be used for aerobics, karate,
tai chi, self-defense, and other related health and fitness classes and programs.
